The six days of creation in Genesis 1 are believed to foreshadow six millennia of Earth’s history, culminating in the seventh millennium, the Messiah’s reign. The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, marking the end of the fourth millennium and the beginning of the fifth, are pinpointed using the astronomical sign of a total lunar eclipse, or blood moon.
