A 4.2 X-class solar flare erupted from sunspot group 4366, which has been producing numerous flares and coronal mass ejections. While the current forecast predicts a G1 geomagnetic storm, the increased solar wind turbulence from these events could result in a stronger G2 or G3 storm. Additionally, a magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck the Kermadec Trench, and a Saturn-Neptune conjunction on February 20th may increase the likelihood of a major earthquake this month.
