Episode notes
In this episode of Share Your Bitcoin Journey, Bitcoin for the Arts founder Dion Wilson sits down with Lady Nakamoto, the Alaskan digital artist whose work has become one of the most distinctive voices in Bitcoin art. This is the first time she has sat down for a full interview.
The conversation traces a path almost no one else in Bitcoin can claim: from the X Games and snowboarding World Cups, to the Rolf Institute, to years that nearly broke her, to a vision quest that led her into Bitcoin and digital art.
Lady Nakamoto represented BFTA on the floor at Bitcoin Is For Everyone in Portland, where she sold her first artwork peer-to-peer with Bitcoin. She has been a supporter of Bitcoin for the Arts from the beginning. Her work has been featured at the Bitcoin Conference in Las Vegas and lives at the intersection of Bitcoin, sovereignty, and Alaskan landscape.
