Presentation by Sarah Christensen of RTC staff, Madeline Jacobson, Caltrans Project Manager, and Tim Cambell, Caltrans deputy district director for construction and project delivery.

The meeting discusses a request for additional funding for the Highway 141st Avenue to Soquel Drive auxiliary lanes and bus-on-shoulder project, which also includes the Chanticleer bicycle and pedestrian overcrossing. Caltrans initially requested $5 million to cover cost overruns in the construction phase, but that amount has been reduced to $4 million. The current recommendation is for the commission to authorize up to $2.5 million to keep the project moving without exceeding current fiscal constraints.
