Episode notes
Rick and Morty’s cast history turns on the rare Season 7 replacement of both central voices, with Ian Cardoni taking over Rick and Harry Belden taking over Morty after Adult Swim cut ties with Justin Roiland. The discussion traces Dan Harmon’s role, the Channel 101 roots of the show, and the careers behind Beth, Jerry, Summer, and key recurring voices.
The focus is practical context: who the performers are, where they came from, and why their past work matters to the show’s sound and continuity. It also clarifies how replacement casting, long-running voice work, improv backgrounds, and animation pipelines shaped the series behind the scenes.
