This day in history: The story of August 28, 2020

If today’s podcast seems to be a little more laid back than usual, it is because we have decided to celebrate National Red Wine Day. There are 21 days devoted to celebrating wine annually; the next one is on Sunday, International Cabernet Sauvignon Day. This means that instead of buying a bottle, buy a case. You made need that wine glass to cry into for this next one, it’s Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day, a day devoted to the pets that we have lost. For me, that is three cats and a chicken named lemon. Today’s Birthdays Ai Weiwei Armie Hammer Bruno Bettelheim Cassadee Pope Daniel Stern David Fincher David Soul Elizabeth Ann Seton Florence Welch George M. Church Jack Black Jack Kirby Jack Vance Jake Owen Janet Frame Jason Priestley Jennifer Coolidge Johann Wolfgang von Goethe LeAnn Rimes Luis Guzmán Nancy Kulp Quvenzhané Wallis Rita Dove Robertson Davies Roger Tory Peterson Roxie Roker Satoshi Tajiri Shania Twain Sheryl Sandberg Valtteri Bottas Get bonus content on Patreon See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
