Resilience with Daniel Pratt

Western Bulldogs Assistant Coach with a coaching career spanning over a decade, Daniel Pratt is known for his strategic acumen and strong focus on relationships and player development. A former AFL player with North Melbourne, he played 119 games between 2004 and 2011, establishing himself as a reliable and tough defender. His playing career not only honed his football skills but also built a foundation for his leadership style, marked by resilience, honesty, loyalty, and a commitment to team success. After transitioning into coaching, Pratt quickly made a name for himself in various roles across the AFL. He was a key part of the West Coast Eagles’ coaching staff during their 2018 premiership run, contributing significantly to the team’s tactical preparation. He also led the West Coast Eagles' AFLW program and WAFL program simultaneously, focusing on nurturing young talent and building a competitive team culture. In 2024, Pratt took on a new challenge with the Western Bulldogs, where his immediate impact earned him the AFLCA Assistant Coach of the Year award. Currently completing a psychology degree, he brings a deeper understanding of mindset and well-being to his leadership approach. His ability to build strong relationships, adapt to modern athletes' needs, and remain calm under pressure sets him apart as a mentor and coach in the leadership realm.
