After facing the possibility of 46 years to life in prison, Karl decided it was time to change his direction and his life. Out of a need to belong, he found himself making poor choices that included pot, pharmaceuticals, vodka, and dealing drugs. Between someone seeing in him what he didn’t see in himself and his mother’s no nonsense approach, Karl started believing there was a better life.
