Christopher Marshall is Associate Professor in Art History and Museum Studies at the School of Culture and Communication at the University of Melbourne. Amongst a variety of research distinctions, Christopher was the recipient of the Paul Mellon Visiting Senior Fellowship as well as the Senior Research Fellowship from the Henry Moore Institute, Leeds.

His publications include Museums in Australia (2019), Prices, Payments and Career Strategies: Economic Considerations in the work of Ribera and his Contemporaries (2017), Baroque Naples and the Industry of Painting: The World in the Workbench (2016), amongst others.
