Kabosu, the Japanese Shiba Inu who inspired the viral "Doge" internet meme and the logo for Dogecoin, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 18 on the morning of May 24, 2024. Her owner, Atsuko Sato, confirmed on her Instagram that the dog passed quietly without suffering while being caressed.
