Primary Scripture: Luke 16:19-31

In this compelling episode of Rod Talks, Pastor Rodney explores the powerful narrative of the Rich Man and Lazarus from Luke 16. He addresses the theological debate over whether the story is a parable or a factual account, ultimately affirming his belief in its literal truth.

Rodney vividly contrasts the Rich Man’s earthly luxury with Lazarus’s suffering, revealing how their eternal fates dramatically flip in the afterlife. Central to his message is the urgency of repentance; he stresses that decisions made during our lifetime are final, as a "great chasm" prevents any post-mortem reversals. Rodney concludes by reminding listeners that worldly wealth is no indicator of God’s favor—only a relationship with Christ secures eternal peace.
