Primary Scripture: Luke 13:1-9

In Episode 4 of the Rod Talks podcast, Pastor Rodney explores the Parable of the Fig Tree from Luke 13:1-9. Addressing a crowd about the Galileans killed by Pilate, he challenges the idea that suffering is a direct result of being a "worse sinner". He emphasizes that repentance is a universal command, defined as turning from sin and aligning one's heart with God’s will. The parable highlights God’s patience and mercy as the gardener (Jesus) advocates for more time to nurture the tree, illustrating that while God is merciful, there is an ultimate call to bear "fruit" of a transformed life before judgment.
