Honoring Service with Wreaths Across America, Courtney George on Road Gang Radio

Jimmy Mac and Lindsay Lawler talk with Courtney George, Director of Transportation and Industry Relations for Wreaths Across America. Courtney joins the show from the airport as she heads north to help move thousands of wreaths for this year’s mission. She explains how she balances the intense holiday workload with time for her family, and why she made it a priority after years of missing Thanksgiving while working in trucking.

Courtney shares how drivers build lasting connections with the cemeteries they serve. She explains why returning drivers often keep the same routes, how local relationships form over years, and how each stop becomes its own community. She talks about the rapid growth of Wreaths Across America, which now includes more than 5,500 participating locations, and how easy it is for anyone to get involved.

Listeners hear how to check which cemeteries in their area take part, how to volunteer as a location coordinator when a site is not yet participating, and how drivers can deliver wreaths while also leading efforts in their home communities.

The hosts and Courtney also talk about ideas to bring music, local partnership, and community support together to help more cemeteries receive wreaths in Nashville, New Orleans, and beyond.
