In a time where Muslims are often misunderstood, misrepresented, and spoken about through the lens of fear, anger, politics, and prejudice, how should a believer respond? When faced with hate, mockery, criticism, Islamophobia, or the loud voices of the detractors of Islam, the Islamic way is not to lose control, react from the ego, or mirror the harshness placed in front of us. Rather, Islam calls us to something higher: sabr, adab, hikmah, mercy, clarity, and beautiful character.
