Ep 6 - The end of Michael Oliver?
The boys look at the pulsating 2-2 draw between Man City Arsenal, including referee Michael Oliver's performance, what it means for the season moving forward and what Rodri's injury means for Man City. A wider review of the Premier League action including wins for Chelsea and Villa. Should Erik ten Hag and Ange Postecoglu be targeting the Europa League as a winnable trophy and route into the Champions League? In the EFL, West Brom are top with Josh Maja back scoring goals.
Ep 5 - Man City x Arsenal Combined XI
The boys look ahead to the mouth-watering Man City vs Arsenal fixture this weekend, including putting together their combined XI of the both teams, but not before they debate if the UCL is set up for success and if the Carabao Cup win for Spurs was a big moment for Big Ange? They then discuss the EFL, with Wayne Rooney's Plymouth picking up a big win vs Sunderland but it doesn't get any easier going to West Brom. Lawro helps Tommo out with some news around Mike Williamson and we finish with a Cupset in the FA Cup and a YTFC Check-In with Lawro.
Ep 4 - Must win NLD?
The lads are back from International break and start with a review of Lee Carsley's first games as England Manager - is the job already his? They then look ahead to the weekends Premier League action with attentions firmly on the North London Derby - is it already must win for Arsenal with Man City & Liverpool's early form? In the EFL - Leeds vs Burnley is the lunch-time kick-off with both sides trying to find some form after transfers out of the club. Birmingham vs Wrexham is a sell-out and they finish with National League and look at Yeovil's recent form.
Ep 3 - Deadline Day Dealings?
The boys start this weeks pod by reflecting on Lee Carsley's first squad for the Nations League as England's interim manager including some new faces and odd omissions. They then look at the biggest transfers happening across the Premier League including Chiesa to Liverpool, Ramsdale to Southampton, Manuel Ugarte to Manchester United and potential moves for Jadon Sancho & Raheem Sterling. Discussions are had about the latest Carabao Cup seeded draws before attentions turn to EFL, in particular what business Burnley & Leeds need to do to get back to the Premier League following some big outgoing transfers. We finish with Lawro who talks us through his 18-hour round trip to Gateshead to watch Yeovil and then the BH Monday games against Rochdale.
Ep 2 - Bomb Squad
The boys try to make sense of what is happening at Chelsea and whether they actually have a plan? Why hasn't Ivan Toney secured a summer move yet? Is the gap between the Top 8 and the rest of the league even bigger and what are the boys doing for FPL this weekend? In the EFL, have Leeds sold too many players for promotion? Stockport have adapted brilliantly to life in L1 and the gap between L2 and NL is discussed. We finish with Lawro who has been travelling the country following YTFC who are back in the National League.
