Episode notes

The Trailblazers spent a rough night in Museport, with the group scattering across a park in various states of sleeplessness — Hana wrestling with a tent via YouTube tutorials, Terry staring hollow-eyed at the stars, and Frranki attempting to sleep upright like a bat before collapsing into a bush already occupied by Emrys. Morning brought little relief, but at eight o'clock sharp, Director Morgan Sharp arrived at the Sawsbuck coffee shop to brief the team. Dressed in a Hawaiian shirt and camo pants with data-flickering shades, he matched names to faces, greeted each member with composed authority, and laid out their mission: blaze a trail from Museport to MetroSync, documenting landmarks, water sources, and rest spots for future travelers and infrastructure crews. He flagged notable hazards — a Heracross territory, a natural Pokémon Fight Club that had already broken one of his ribs, mud-caked Feraligatr in the local ponds — and equipped the party with antidotes, potions, and a technical device before sending them on their way.

The Trailblazers set out under a blazing summer sky, making good time through scenic terrain before the wilds grew louder and less welcoming. A chaotic multi-front encounter erupted as the party spread across a stretch of trail teeming with Weepinbell, Surskit, Slowpoke, Axew, Mankey, Gligar, Skwovet, and more. Lua nearly obliterated a Surskit with a single strike, Frranki captured a Gligar that was actively stinging his face by running in front of his own thrown Pokéball, and Hana's Flamigo put half the battlefield to sleep in one yawn — only for Terry to casually snipe the Axew she had been eyeing, offering to breed her one later as consolation. By the time the dust settled, the party had made an impressive haul of new captures, found edible mushrooms, hidden supplies, berries, and a mysterious wallet containing nearly two thousand Pokédollars and a worn police badge belonging to a Gendarme Dupin. As the afternoon heat grew oppressive and the day's miles weighed on their legs, the Trailblazers arrived at their intended campsite only to find it claimed by an agitated swarm of Beedrill — meaning their first day on the trail would not end without one final fight.
