Season 1
GLORIFIED: Beauty from the Ashes
What does it really mean for God to be glorified through our lives? In this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore the word Glorified through the beautiful promise found in Isaiah 61:3 - a passage that speaks of beauty for ashes, joy for mourning, praise instead of heaviness, and becoming trees of righteousness planted by the Lord. And then we're told why: "That He may be glorified." To glorify God doesn't mean we make God greater - He is already great. It means that through our lives, His goodness, faithfulness, power, and character become visible to others. In this episode, we talk about those seasons we never would have chosen - the disappointments, losses, mistakes, unanswered questions, and circumstances that can leave us wondering how anything beautiful could possibly come from them. But ashes don't have to be the end of the story. We'll also look at Isaiah's image of "trees of righteousness." A strong tree doesn't grow overnight. It endures wind, storms, changing seasons, and times when everything above the surface looks bare. Yet underneath, its roots are growing deeper. The same can be true of us. God may be doing some of His deepest work during the seasons when it appears that nothing is happening at all. Maybe instead of only asking, "God, why did I have to go through this?" we can begin asking, "God, how can You use this?" Because sometimes the place you thought was ruined becomes the very place where someone else sees God most clearly. If you're carrying some ashes today, this episode is a reminder that God may still be writing the story. He can bring beauty from ashes, joy from mourning, praise from heaviness—and through it all, He can be glorified. PATH: One Step at a Time
You Don't Have to See the Whole Road Have you ever wished God would just show you the entire plan? Where you're going. How you're going to get there. How long it's going to take. And maybe even give you a little warning about the difficult parts along the way? In this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we're exploring the word Path through Psalm 119:105: "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." There's something beautiful about the imagery in this verse. A lamp doesn't necessarily illuminate miles of road ahead - it gives you enough light to see where you're stepping. And sometimes that's exactly how God leads us. One step at a time. We'll talk about what it means to allow God's Word to guide our decisions, relationships, priorities, and direction - especially when the path ahead isn't clear. We'll also look at the many voices competing to guide us: culture, social media, other people's opinions, and even our own emotions. How do we know which direction to take? We return to the light of God's truth. If you're standing at a crossroads, waiting for an answer, facing an uncertain future, or wondering where God is leading you, this episode is for you. Maybe you don't need God to reveal the entire journey today. Maybe your prayer simply needs to be: "Lord, show me my next step." Because when you know the One who is leading you, you don't have to see the whole road to trust the path ahead. GIVE: A Heart of Gratitude
In this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore the word Give through the beautiful reminder found in Psalm 75:1: "We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks! For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near." Life has a way of pulling our attention toward what's missing, what's difficult, or what's next. But the psalmist invites us to pause and do something that changes everything - give thanks. Together, we'll talk about how gratitude is more than simply saying "thank you." It's a posture of the heart that recognizes God's faithfulness in every season. Whether it's the beauty of creation, the love of family and friends, answered prayers, or simply the gift of another day, every blessing points us back to the One who gives all good things. We'll also share a few laughs about how easy it is to overlook the blessings already in front of us while searching for something more. Often, the very things we've been praying for become the things we forget to appreciate. If you've been feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, or simply too busy to notice God's goodness, this episode is an invitation to slow down, lift your eyes, and remember His faithfulness. Because when we give thanks, our hearts begin to see what they've been missing all along. Gratitude doesn't change God—it changes us. CREATED: Made on Purpose
Created — Made on Purpose In this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore the word Created through the powerful worship found in Revelation 4:11: "You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created." In a world that often tells us to create our own identity, define our own purpose, and find our own truth, Scripture points us back to the One who created us. Our value doesn't come from what we accomplish, how successful we become, or what others think of us. Our worth begins with our Creator. Together, we'll talk about what it means to be intentionally designed by God, why every life has purpose, and how discovering the One who created us helps us understand who we are. We'll even share a few laughs about trying to assemble furniture without the instructions—and how life can feel just as confusing when we ignore the One who designed us. Whether you've ever questioned your purpose, struggled with comparison, or simply wondered why you're here, this episode is a reminder that you are not random, forgotten, or overlooked. You were created with intention. You were created with purpose. And you were created to know the One who made you. Because the Creator of the universe didn't just create the stars, the oceans, and the mountains… He created you. VICTORIOUS - When Victory Looks Different
Victorious - When Victory Looks Different In this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore the word Victorious through the powerful prophecy found in Zechariah 9:9: "Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey..." When we think of victory, we often picture strength, celebration, trophies, and obvious success. But Scripture gives us a very different picture of our victorious King. Jesus entered Jerusalem not on a powerful war horse, but humbly, riding on a donkey. Victorious and lowly. Powerful and humble. King and servant. Together, we discuss how God's victories don't always look the way we expect. Sometimes victory isn't getting exactly what we prayed for or avoiding every difficult season. Sometimes victory is finding peace in the middle of the battle, choosing forgiveness over bitterness, getting back up after disappointment, or simply remaining faithful when life is hard. The cross itself looked like defeat- but it became the place of the greatest victory of all. If you're in the middle of a battle and don't feel very victorious right now, this episode is a reminder that your current circumstances don't determine the final outcome. Jesus was already the victorious King even as He rode toward the hardest part of His earthly journey. Victory doesn't always arrive with a trophy. Sometimes it comes quietly, humbly, and completely differently than we expected. But with Jesus, the victory is already won. HUMILITY: Strength Under Control
Humility - Strength Under Control In this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore the word Humility through the wisdom of Philippians 2:3: "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves." Humility is often misunderstood. It isn't thinking less of yourself or believing you have little value - it is choosing to place God first and valuing others with the same love and grace that Christ has shown us. It's a quiet strength that doesn't demand recognition but instead seeks to serve. Together, we'll discuss the difference between confidence and pride, why humility is one of the greatest marks of spiritual maturity, and how Jesus modeled the ultimate example of servant leadership. Along the way, we'll share a few laughs about those moments when life reminds us, we don't always have all the answers - and why that's actually a good thing. If you've ever struggled with pride, comparison, always needing to be right, or simply wanting to grow more into the likeness of Christ, this episode offers practical encouragement for everyday life. Because the strongest people aren't always the loudest… They're often the ones humble enough to let God receive the glory. MESSAGE - What are you sending?
Message - The One That Never Changes In this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore the word Message through the timeless truth found in 1 John 3:11: "For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another." John reminds us that God's message has never changed. From the teachings of Jesus to the early church, and still today, His call remains the same - to love one another. In a world filled with changing opinions, constant noise, and endless messages competing for our attention, God's message continues to stand firm. Together, we'll unpack what John meant by "the message you heard from the beginning," why love is the foundation of the Christian life, and how our words, attitudes, and actions communicate a message every single day. We'll even share a lighthearted reminder that while our text messages sometimes get misunderstood, God's message has always been perfectly clear. Whether you're encouraging a friend, serving your family, or simply trying to reflect Christ in your everyday life, remember this: The greatest message you'll ever send may not be written in a text or spoken in a sermon… It may be seen in the way you love others. PREACH: The Good News
Preach - Living the Good News In this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore the word Preach through the words of Jesus in Mark 16:15: "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." When we hear the word preach, many of us picture a pastor standing behind a pulpit. But Jesus' invitation is much bigger than that. Every believer has the opportunity to share the hope of the Gospel - not only through what we say, but through the way we live. Together, we discuss how our words, actions, kindness, forgiveness, and love can become the greatest sermon we ever preach. We also share a few laughs about growing up with a mom who never missed an opportunity to turn life's everyday moments into lessons of faith and wisdom. Looking back, those conversations became some of the greatest gifts and helped shape a foundation that continues today. Whether you're encouraging a friend, raising a family, serving your community, or simply living out your faith each day, God can use your life to point others to Him. Because the Gospel isn't only something we speak...It's something we live. FULFILLED: Right on Time
Fulfilled — Right on Time In this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore the word Fulfilled through the powerful declaration found in Luke 4:21: "Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing." For generations, God's people waited for the promises spoken through the prophets to come to pass. Then one day, Jesus stood and announced that the waiting was over—the promise had arrived. Sometimes we find ourselves waiting too. Waiting for prayers to be answered, doors to open, healing to come, or God's plan to unfold. In those moments, it's easy to wonder if God has forgotten. But Scripture reminds us that God's promises are never forgotten and His timing is never late. Join us as we discuss what it means to trust God's timing, remain faithful in seasons of waiting, and find confidence in knowing that what God promises, He fulfills. Because a delayed promise is not a forgotten promise—and when God's timing arrives, His purpose is fulfilled. STAND: In Your Faith
Stand - In Your Faith In this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore the word Stand through the powerful encouragement found in 1 Corinthians 16:13: "Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong." Life often brings challenges that test our faith, patience, and perseverance. During these seasons, it can be tempting to quit, retreat, or lose hope. Yet Scripture reminds us that sometimes the greatest act of courage is simply standing firm. Together we'll discuss what it means to remain rooted in faith when circumstances feel uncertain, how courage grows through adversity, and why strength is often found in staying steadfast rather than striving harder. If you're walking through a difficult season, facing unanswered questions, or simply needing encouragement to keep going, this episode is a reminder that God is faithful, present, and working even when you cannot yet see the outcome. Stand firm. Stay faithful. God is not finished with your story.
