Dispatch 25: Project Blue Beans

Nowadays social media is awash with conspiracies. From the zany to the plausible, if there are two points, then someone has probably drawn a line between them. However, are any of these new ideas, or are they just rehashes of older well-worn ones? For this episode, Josh and Dale reexamine the decades old conspiracy, Project Blue Beam, since many of its troupes can still be seen in conspiracies circulating today. So, does it hold up under scrutiny or is it all just word-soup? The truth is out there, and we will tell you. Dispatch 24: Spiritual Vibe Coding

What if healing is not just a physical act? For millennia, cultures around the world have practiced some form of energy healing to restore the body via manipulation of the spirit. However, what this spirit is and how it influence the physical world is anyone's guess. Could our spiritual selves just be a part of the galactic source code? In this episode Josh tires to woo pill Dale into believing all things bioenergetic. Was he successful, or did he just waste 90 minutes of everyone's time? Only one way to find out. Dispatch 23: Steep Dreams Are Made Of Leaves

There are few things that have lasted longer than humanities desire for a nice cup of hot tea. Initially discovered by accident in China nearly 5000 years ago, it is now enjoyed by nearly every nation on Earth. Despite having cultural significance across the globe, the plant and preparation have remained largely the same. So Dear Listener, join us as we explore the long history of humanities second favorite beverage after water. This episode is brought to you ad free by the fine folks at Totler’s Tea Company! Dispatch 22: Environmental Storytelling

From the liminal, to the holographic, to the fictious, we have explored several different worlds and realities this season. However, there is one world that we can all concretely say is ours. This one, planet Earth. Regardless of what you may believe about the shape, age, or size of our interstellar home address, as far as we know, this is the only place we have. Yet we seem hell bent on making a mess of the whole thing, and the planet is now responding in kind. Not to retread a previous spiel, but hurricanes and tornados are becoming more powerful, fires more common, and potable water more scarce. Climate change is here, and now we must contend with it. So Dear Listener, for tonight’s episode we will be departing from our usual comedically inclined esoteric explorations and delving into what this new reality means for all of us. Dispatch 21 - Are You On My Wavelength?

Let's face it, holograms are cool as hell; there's no getting around it. Whether it was a full cover National Geographic, the tiny image on a credit card, or a super cool dragon necklace from the flea-market we've all been mesmerized by one at least once in our life. Well, what if I told you that these little images are tricks; the actual truth is that EVERYTHING IS HOLOGRAM. Come explore the history, uses, and implications of this phenomenon that is at least 75 years old, but maybe is as old as the concept of dimensional reality itself. Dispatch 20: Energetic Directions

Hello Dear Listener! In this episode Josh and Dale once again stray from the esoteric path to talk about some of the technological underpinnings of science fiction. That’s right, we are talking all things LASERs and directed energy. Will this be an informative episode, or will it be more nonsense from your favorite pseudointellectuals? Only one way to find out. Dispatch 19: In Superspace No One Can Hear You Scream

Despite our best efforts we have yet to determine what other dimensions look like. Are they merely mathematical thought experiments designed to make modern physics work? Or are they actually fully developed universes where parallel versions of ourselves go to work at slightly different jobs? In this episode Josh and Dale try to wrap their 3D brains around the possibility that our observable reality may not be all there is, leading to the question, is it possible that tangible multidimensional spaces exist or is all in le head? Remember, if you like what we do and would like to help out start by telling everyone you know about the podcast; go yell it from a mountain, if ye will. Dispatch 18: Theater Of The Chaotic Mind

Once again Dear Listener, Dale has decided to foolishly try and convince everyone he is not a nerd by delving needlessly deep into an obscure nerdy topic. Meanwhile Josh is to tired and sick to stop him and is forced to listen to this whole mess. That's right, for this episode we will be talking about the Chaotic TCG, a game you've never heard about. Unless you are Canadian or Danish or something. Correction In this episode I mention that the game and series end because 4Kids went bankrupt. However they stopped printing cards and airing the show in 2010, before the 2011 Yu-Gi-Oh lawsuit (You can learn more about in below). However the website and online play would continue until the bankruptcy eventually closed that down too. Dispatch 17: Lingvo Universala

Language is pretty cool, if you think about it. We (humans?) have built it up as a tool from simple monosyllabic grunts into elaborate systems of communication with double meanings, deep meanings, and hidden meanings. The question is, is it inevitable that we all end up speaking one language in the end? Or is the likely outcome something both more simple and more complex, and we end up speaking universally through "AI" assisted tools that allow for real time translation? How will this be affected by first contact with an alien species (assuming that hasn't already happened)? Dispatch 16: The Great AI Debate

As demanded by literally no one, Dale has picked up the gauntlet thrown down by Josh, and the boys debate the merits of "artificial intelligence." Is it the great savior of human potential and productivity that Big Tech wants us to believe, or is it just another novelty without a use case? Josh and Dale discuss this and more in this episode. However, the most important question is how realistic can it make the anime waifus? Thank you for joining us on another amazing adventure.
