S4 | EP15: ANIME SPECIAL: Digimon Over Pokémon?! + Berserk, Naruto & Anime’s Western Influence Ft NK + Rams
Episode notes
Gaz breaks his Post Credit Scene hosting streak (finally!), leaving Manny and Jas in charge for this anime-packed special featuring NK from The Rare Podcast and part-time writer, full-time nerd Rams!
The crew dive into their anime origin stories Pokémon, Digimon, and Fist of the North Star, before unpacking deeper convos on how anime has shaped modern storytelling.
From glazing Berserk, debating if Naruto is a good starter anime, and exploring why Attack on Titan hits like Game of Thrones, the episode is full of recs, rants, and real ones only.
They also break down the Western vs Eastern animation divide, shonen fatigue, and why anime like NaNa, Vagabond, and Pluto deserve more hype.
