Episode notes
Join Joe McDonald as he reads from the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, diving into Step 2 AA and exploring the awakening of inner power. Reflecting on personal experiences, Joe emphasizes the importance of recognizing and awakening the power that already exists within us.
In this session, Joe discusses the simple yet profound realization that begins the journey to recovery. “So what I want you to know is if you’ve ever had that desire, you already have access to that power. Because that wouldn’t have resonated with you if you did not. So now all we need to do is awaken you to that fact. Does that make sense? So it was comforting to learn that we could commence at a simpler level. And what is the simpler level? I am willing to believe.”
Joe’s discussion sheds light on the universal aspects of human experience and the power of spiritual growth in the recovery process. This session emphasizes the importance of reaching out for help and the power of the support found within recovery communities.
