The Battle of the Ballona Wetlands Ecological Restoration Project with Walter Lamb
The battle over the Ballona Wetlands State Ecological Reserve has been raging for so long, many Playa del Rey residents have grown accustomed to it being just another facet of the community. But for Walter Lamb, the president of Ballona Wetlands Land Trust, the fate of the wetlands has never felt more dire. In this episode, we sit down with Walter to unpack why he strongly opposes the Ballona Wetlands Ecological Restoration project for which the California Department of Fish and Wildlife just certified an Environmental Impact Report summarized here. The PDR Podcast, created by ToesBeach.com, aims to bring local stories told by local voices to the Playa del Rey community. This episode was reported and produced by Danica Creahan.
