1 Thessalonians - Week 7: Like a Thief in the Night // 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11

Today, Pastor Todd continues the 1Thessalonians sermon series as we take a look at chapter 5, verses 1-11. The title of today's sermon is "Life a Thief in the Night." When a thief comes in the night, it is always unexpected and it comes as a great shock. Similarly, when Jesus returns, it will be unexpected to those people who are not truly following Jesus. However, true believers expect the return of Jesus, and for the true believer/follower of Christ, this will be a day of great joy! Today, we continue the 1 Thessalonians sermon series and we will take a look at 1 Thessalonians 4:9-18. The title of today’s sermon is “It Could Be Today!” If Christ were to return today, would you be ready to stand before Him? In today’s sermon, we see that (1) we are called to love; (2) we are called to a Christian Lifestyle, and then we address the question (3) what does the future look like for people who are truly believers/followers of Jesus Christ? 1 Thessalonians - Week 5: How Will You Walk? // 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8

Today, I'll continue the 1 Thessalonians sermon series. We will look at 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8. Last Sunday, I asked the question "Will You Stand?" Today, I'll ask the question "How Will You Walk?" The Christian life begins with a step of faith, but it is not just one step. That initial step must lead to a walk of faith. 1 Thessalonians - Week 4: Will You Stand? // 1 Thessalonians 3:1-13

As we look at today’s text, 1 Thessalonians 3:1-13, we are not simply reading a letter. Instead, we are seeing a picture of a pastor who loves the people that God had given him. As we think of what has occurred to this point, remember that Paul had led these people to Jesus, but we know from the book of Acts that Paul was forced to leave Thessalonica after just being there for a short time. Paul was being persecuted there. Paul did not have an easy way to check on them, and he was burdened for these people. So he sent Timothy to check on them. When Paul received Timothy’s report that the Thessalonians were standing strong, Paul rejoiced. However, Paul continued to pray for these people. The title of today’s sermon is “Will You Stand?” When trials, temptations and persecution comes, will you stand on God’s Word? The Good Teacher // Mark 10:17-27 // Bro. Danny Rowland

Join us as Associate Pastor Bro. Danny Rowland preaches from Mark 10:17-27. Today's sermon title is "The Good Teacher."

1 Thessalonians - Week 3: The Word at Work // 1 Thessalonians 2:13-20

Today, we continue the 1 Thessalonians sermon series with a sermon from chapter 2, verses 13-20. The sermon title is “The Word at Work.” God’s Word is so much words than simply words on a page. God’s Word is inspired and inerrant and it is to be at work in those who believe. Paul reminds us that the gospel is what changes lives, even in the face of hardship. This passage also gives us a glimpse into the heart of a shepherd. We see Paul’s love for the Thessalonians, his willingness to suffer for the sake of the gospel, and his joy in seeing them walk with Christ. 1 Thessalonians - Week 2: Living the Gospel Out Loud // 1 Thessalonians 2:1-12

1 Thessalonians 2:1–12 gives us a picture of what true, God-honoring ministry looks like. Paul and his companions didn’t preach for popularity or profit, but with courage and integrity, even in the face of suffering. They had arrived at the point in their lives where their goal wasn’t to please people but to please God. God sees the heart. They cared deeply for the Thessalonian believers—like a gentle mother tenderly nurturing her children and like a father encouraging and guiding his family. Their lives matched their message, and they urged others to “walk worthy of God, who calls you into His kingdom and glory.” Always remember that true ministry is not about power, prestige, or applause—it’s about humility, sincerity, and a deep love that points people to Christ. 1 Thessalonians - Week 1: The Kind of Church the World Needs // 1 Thessalonians 1:1-10

Join us as Pastor Todd begins a new sermon series from the book of 1 Thessalonians. We are living in a time where the world needs to see a church that lives faithfully and stands firm on the Word of God. Although some churches throughout our world today seem to chase popularity and acceptance from the culture, what God blesses and uses has not changed, nor will it change. God will honor a church that is committed to holy living and is grounded in the Gospel. Today, we will take a look at 1 Thessalonians 1:1-10 as we take a look at the kind of church the world needs.
