Like Caleb in the Old Testament, we can enjoy the promised life that God offers.
Elders and Deacons complement one another when the elders lead and the deacons serve the congregation.
The Bible gives the requirements for the kind of man who serves as a deacon.
The biblical evidence for the responsibility of a deacon is taking care of widows who are in need.
The role of a deacon is to be a servant.
We will look at what the Bible teaches regarding the relationship between elders and a congregation.
The process of appointing elders in the local church involves a call, qualifications, examination, selection, installation, and prayer.
The biblical responsibilities of an elder are to teach, lead, model, and pray.
Elders are qualified to serve because they are called to ministry, an example of integrity, a leader of their family, a model of maturity, and possess a good reputation in the community.
A body of elders follow the Lordship of Jesus Christ in decision making and leadership.
