Luke - Week 24: When Everything Seems Hopeless, Jesus Is Still the Answer! // Luke 8: 40-56

In today's sermon, Pastor Todd continues the sermon series from the Gospel of Luke. In this sermon, we look at Luke 8:40-56 and meet two individuals who, on most days had very little in common. One of the people is a woman who has been bleeding for 12 years. She has spent all that she had trying to get well. Nothing had worked and she was getting worse. The other person that we meet in today's sermon is Jairus. His 12 year old daughter was at the point of death. On this day, both Jairus and the woman who had been bleeding for 12 years came to Jesus. On this day, they came desperate. Through earthly eyes, their situation seemed hopeless. However, they realized that Jesus was the answer! Luke - Week 23: Jesus Still Calms Storms and Changes Lives! // Luke 8: 19-39

Today, we continue to look at the Gospel of Luke and look at Luke 8:19-39. During this passage, we see two storms. In the first storm, the disciples are in a boat with Jesus and they encounter a very strong storm on the lake. The second storm that we see in today's sermon is a storm that is internal. We see a man who was possessed by demons. In both of these situations, Jesus provides! Luke - Week 22: Simply Hearing the Word Is Not Enough // Luke 8: 1-18

Today we continue the sermon series from the Gospel of Luke and take a look at Luke 8:1-18. In today's passage, Jesus teaches by using a parable. This parable is known to us as "The Parable of the Sower." In this parable, seed falls on different types of soil. Only the seed that falls on good soil grows and produces. In each of the situations, the difference was not the seed. Instead, the difference was the soil. When we compare this to our lives, we can ask ourselves the question "what kind of soil is my heart?" Luke - Week 18: What Are You Building Your Life On? // Luke 6:39-49

Join us as we continue the sermon series from the Gospel of Luke. In this sermon, we will take a look at Luke 6:39-49. In this passage, Jesus gives examples of the blind leading the blind, good fruit and bad fruit, and of a man who builds his house on a strong foundation vs. a man who builds a house without a foundation. When the storm came, the house that was built on the strong foundation weathered the storm, while the other house was destroyed. Likewise, we are each building our lives on something. We either build our lives on Jesus (the rock) or on the world. What are you building your life on? Luke - Week 17: When Jesus Changes Your Heart, Things Are Different // Luke 6:27-38

Join us as Pastor Todd continues the series from the Gospel of Luke. Today, we take a look at Luke 6:27-38. The title of this sermon is "When Jesus Changes Your Heart, Things Are Different." We often notice when someone loses a large amount of weight, or if they go with a drastically different hairstyle. We notice those things because there is a change to the person's outward appearance. But when Jesus saves a person, what happens? Should we be able to see a change? The answer to that question is "yes." We should definitely see a change, because of the fact that when Jesus saves a person, He transforms our heart. It has an impact on the way that we live....because when Jesus changes your heart, things are different! Join us as Pastor Todd continues the sermon series from the Gospel of Luke by taking a look at Luke 6:12-26. Today's sermon title is "The Difference Between Temporary and Eternal." Throughout each day, we continually make choices. Some of those choices might even seem insignificant at the time. For example: what's for lunch, what's for dinner, etc.? However, there is one choice that is much more serious. That choice is whether or not to live our lives for the glory of Christ. When we make that decision, it is one that is eternal. Join us as Pastor Todd continues the sermon series from the Gospel of Luke and takes a look at Luke 6:1-11. The title of this sermon is "When Religion Misses Jesus." We can be faithful in church attendance. We can know all of the songs. We can know the order of the service. We can memorize many Bible verses. However, it is possible to do all of those things and not have a relationship with Jesus. May our focus always be on Christ!
