Episode notes
In this podcast we look at the cultural and religious history of belief in evil spirits, possession and exorcism. We will find that many of the ways science and modern thinkers have passed off the belief in spirit possession or the belief in demons may not be accurate. We will look at the scientific world of medicine, anthropology, psychiatry, and neurology as they approach this subject. Then we will look at the Catholic and Protestant Christian Churches, Islam, Hindu and other world religions who continue to see this as a viable concern.
Rick will look at research material by psychiatrist, psychologist, and exorcist who believe exorcism works and possession has distinct features from mental health and medical issues.
And we will continue a real life Case File regarding this issue.
