I am a 32 year old Mexican-Native American who loves deep conversation. Jeez this sounds like a dating profile.. I do like long walks so theres that. Episode 12 - "Getting boots on the ground' to discover culture." - w/ Olivia Janisch | @Livi_l0ve | (SuperBrand.LA)

After a short hiatus we are back with a season 2 installment with the mighty Olivia Janisch. Olivia is a creative soul driven by her limitless curiosity and excitement, which has guided her towards handling accounts for both established and emerging brands. She has collaborated with ESPN, Snap, the Tribeca Film Festival, the NHL, among others. Her interests include art, health, delicious cuisine, and the city of LA. Typically, you'll find her exploring different parts of town in the evenings in pursuit of extraordinary dining experiences, all while advocating for the power of compelling brand narratives. From our conversation and as the episode title would imply, Olivia emphasizes the "boots on the ground mentality". In a world where everything is downloaded into our phones, culture included, it can be lethargic to want to stay at a work desk and let culture come to you. Undoubtedly social media is a megaphone for cultural shifts, but in order to fully integrate into culture the first hand experience remains the best method. Olivia lives this methodology and this is one factor that sets her and SuperBrand.LA apart from other branding agencies. Their mantra speaks for itself "We help your business refine your message, create a winning narrative, and design an identity that people can’t help fall in love with." So please enjoy this old fashion human conversation in a virtual platform, and Thank you once more Olivia. Episode 11 -"What's the craic bueyes?" Tash Doherty | @misseducated_

    Explicit

Ep 11 with the Mighty Tash Doherty “What’s the craic bueyes?” I couldn’t think of a title more apropos than one fusing Irish and Mexican slang. In this episode I had the distinct pleasure and honor to converse with Tash Doherty. Now as context clues might’ve indicated a correlation of the lands of “Eire” and “Mēxihco”, here it is. Tash was born in London with an Irish background and relocated to Mexico and her spanish holds up especially when talking in local slang and “kickin the sh*t”. She is a writer and published author and continues to push the envelope when it comes to bringing taboo conversations to the forefront. Taboo in the sense that the patriarchal societal construct has deemed them so. These conversations are necessary and truly enlightening. My episode with here was merely a microcosm of what you can expect Tash to cover on her platform via social media, her newsletter and other sources. She was patient with my inquisitive nature of asking questions that should be basic knowledge when it comes to women reproductive RIGHTS and contraceptives. The fact these and other are not everyday basic knowledge is an adherence to the construct we see as women rights are pushed further into the backburner and every one and awhile dangled as political tokens come election season. But I’m rambling at this point, please enjoy the episode and thank you once more Tash continue being the no nonsense taking badass that you are! Topics Discussed ---- Multicultural upbringing Moving and living long-term in Mexico City Women Reproductive Rights Different types of Contraceptives London city breakdown Utilizing self growth from past traumas Authoring and publishing first book The Writing Process and more ! Episode 10 - Maggie Daniels | @maggielogic

    Explicit

"Tanglewoooood!" Put in her own words, Maggie is as subtle as a brick to glass. I had to dig in the crates for the soundtrack of this episode. Talking with Maggie had me reminiscing being out on my block, hearing the chevy trunks rattle from the bass of house speakers shoved in the backseats. Her authenticity and candor when diving into the PTSD remanent from childhood traumas spoke directly to my experiences in our conversation. From creating her poetry book "Swimming" to creating the screenplay for her future film, Maggie enshrines her soul into her art on a multitude of levels. Sometimes pulling from the harsh times of life but never failing to recognize the beauty in surviving the rough upbringing. It was truly a pleasure to share this space of common southern grit embellished from growing up in the bible belt and navigating childhood in this environment with our own twist of frivolity. Hope you enjoy the conversation my friends! Links https://maggielogic.com/ https://www.instagram.com/maggielogic/ https://www.facebook.com/writermaggiedaniels https://www.tiktok.com/@maggielogic

Whether it be personal fitness or on a professional tier, Gaby utilizes her knowledge to make food the best ally in sport and life. My conversation with Gaby was invigorating and selfishly it served my own fitness journey to differ to her knowledge to answer various gym/nutrition questions. We address topics such as nutrition (obviously) but also body dysmorphia, gym tropes, “bro science”, her training process for an Iron Man event, and how Gaby intertwines a holistic approach to nutrition. Gaby conveyed pure enthusiasm when answering my questions and never talked down when sharing her knowledge. Gracias and continue being the badass you are. Episode 8 - Maria Macsay | Embodied living

"You know its just your Foolish Pride." Episode 8 with the uber Mighty Maria Macsay was a tour de force of self reflection. Maria is the definition of a free spirit, and not in a generic overused fashion of the term. She specializes in Somatics coaching and embarks with her clients on the beauty of spirituality through avenues like yoga amongst others. She is also the cofounder of Align & Allow Retreats, a globally recognized women's empowerment mission retreat dedicated to elevating the embodied rise of women worldwide. My conversation with her was enlightening to how my foolish pride has in key instances gotten in the way of self progress and growth. We delved into matters of spirituality and shared stories of how we are all capable of "losing our s#it". As long as we learn from them and gain clarity as to what was the real reason for our mind, body, and souls being misaligned, that is growth, Maria is a badass Chica and how she shares her story with me makes me hopeful for the chapters that are to come for all of us on this spinning rock in space. The world is far from perfect, perhaps a belief it one day will be is dimwitted, but with self reflection and conversations like this we can learn from each other and grow as humans. It is truly a privlege that I share with you Episode Ocho of the Persona Podcast. Enjoy ladies and germs.
