We are to have the same heart anad seek to build our lives together with God’s people.

In Psalms 130 we have another song of ascent. Here we contemplate what would it be like if God DID keep a record of sins - but he doesn't - and he redeems his people. This psalm also considers the watchman who waits all night long making sure the city is safe, and really looks forward to sunrise so he can go to bed. That desire for sleep is compared to the desire we should have for the Lord

Many pilgrims would have thought (aat Christ’s time) that the oppressor was the Roman empire, but not realised the true oppressor.

If God doesn’t work alongside you - your work means nothing, so goes this psalm.

A remarkable hymn about how unlike in Egypt, a ruler over Israel did let the people go home.

This song talks compares the love of God to the mountains which surround Jerusalem. As they sung this song - they could see the mountains - a visual reminder of God’s grace.
