In today's episode, we begin our long march through the Bible- looking at major themes, theological considerations, characters, etc. While this will not be a verse-by-verse glance through the entirety of Scripture, today's episode does look at Genesis 1-2 in such a way. This division of Scripture helps us to answer questions such as, "Why is there something rather than nothing?" "What does creation tell us about God?" and "Should the creation account matter to the believer?"
In today's episode, we wrap up the New Testament, finding Paul and various companions traveling on three missionary journeys. We find notable churches in history planted; disciples equipped in the faith, Books of the Bible written, and the gospel spreading exactly as Jesus had promised. The ministry of the local church continues today through us. The baton that was carried by the Apostle Paul on his missionaries journeys has now come to us.
In today's episode we look at the early days of the church: from the resurrection of Jesus Christ to the sending of Paul and Barnabas as missionaries from the church in Antioch, we will reflect upon how the Gospel spread from Jerusalem to Judea and Samaria... next week we'll look at how it spread to the ends of the earth.
