Katie discusses her favorite cemeteries in St. John's, NL such as Waterford Bridge Road. We discuss NL flower cemetery events, and the Mexico Day of the Dead. She talks about the St. John's Military Road near Rawlings Cross area skeleton that was found Sept 1896 with a stake through his body. He was found to have hung himself. The culture back then for suicides was to bury the body with an wooden stake in them to keep their Spirit grounded, with Vampire ties to the tradition. The city workers back then according to newspapers reburied the man there at the center of the Crossroads. Katie describes bark tanning with animal material.
