Past & Present Pairings. Plus, Disclosure Day Thoughts!

With Elijah and Mike both away, Dalton and Maddy take the reins for an episode that mixes a little bit of old with the new.

First, they discuss their thoughts and feelings about Steven Spielberg's new sci-fi film Disclosure Day and why it (mostly) worked for them (2:40). Afterwards, they bridge the gap between past and present with some cinematic double features. The hosts each take a contemporary film and pair it with a pre-1970s classic and explore the connections between them, from shared themes and visual language to character dynamics and genre conventions (6:45).

Hosts: Maddy Richard and Dalton Pike
