Episode notes
Outside The Frame is sponsoring a special screening of Lady Snowblood on January 9, 2025, at Hyland Cinema! To honour this (very bloody) occasion, Elijah, Mike, Dalton, and Maddy sit down to discuss Lady Snowblood--the very influential 1973 Japanese revenge flick. They discuss their individual experiences with the film and how well it's aged over the past five decades (3:20). Afterwards, we discuss one of the biggest talking points surrounding this movie: the influence it had on Quentin Tarantino's 2003 film Kill Bill, from the very specific to the more broad interpretations.
One thing is for sure: this movie is one you want to see on a big screen! To buy your tickets now, head over to https://www.hylandcinema.com/movie/lady-snowblood
Hosts: Elijah Rae, Mike Klassen, Dalton Pike, and Maddy Richard
