In this episode of "The Other Streets of Philadelphia" we follow Roy Hayes, an advocate for intravenous drug users and people with AIDS. He was a major part of Aids Advocacy groupssuch as Act Up Philadelphia and We the People. We share his words on addiction, police brutality, housing insecurity, activism, and even more. As the title of our podcast suggests, we attempt to put Roy Hayes’ Oral History Testimony that was submitted to the John J Wilcox Jr. Archive into a larger historical context.
