Ordinary Moms of Extraordinary Kids Bible Encouragement for Special Needs Moms November 27, 2023 • 11:30 minutes Episode 52—Never Give Up Have you ever felt frustrated, or maybe wanted to give up, when you experienced rejection? Let’s dig into the Word and see how God enables us to never give up. Today’s Bible encouragement reveals God helps us to persevere to shine His light into the darkness of our world. About your Host—Annie Yorty Wife, mother, writer, and speaker, Annie encourages those living through difficult situations to perceive God. Embracing the task of advocacy after the birth of her first child, who has Down syndrome, Annie has led both disability and homeschool organizations for over thirty years to promote understanding and acceptance for individuals with intellectual disabilities. In particular, she loves to connect with other ordinary moms of extraordinary kids. Annie and her high school sweetheart/Air Force veteran husband, Jeff, have two grown children and one still in process. (Isn’t everyone, really?) Despite significant challenges, her favorite global mission destination is Siberia in February, but she’ll go anywhere God opens the door. She delights in anything crafty or creative except sewing, which she merely tolerates. Annie wishes she had more time to read, learn the piano, crochet, and practice Russian. Her furry beast (aka labradoodle) would like her to spend more time teaching him new tricks.
