Season 1

Episode 5 - Life's a Con

Essen is on this week, but the One Man lives in Australia! Instead we talk about the two big ones down under, Play Con and Pax Australia and why they should definitely be in your calendar every year! And someone gets the clap.....

Episode 4 - My Favourite Things - Playing with myself

This week we go on a journey of self exploration. No really, We're talking nonsense about board games and board gaming culture, and what it means to be a solo gamer. We also give someone the clap. Enjoy our new theme music, written by our co-host, HAL!

Episode 3 - My Favourite Things - Deluxification - the 'chonky' episode

In this episode we review the games we played last week, we have a full FOMOMOFO meltdown, looking out to the end of the year, and we explore what it means to deluxe your game, and does it really add value, and more importantly, do we really care?

Episode 2 - My favourite things - Heavy Euros and Vital Lacerda

This week we introduce the notion and segment of the FOMOMOFO, spoiler alert, that's me, as we go through the crowdfunding projects that plague my bank balance. We'll talk about the trials and tribulations of being a massive Lacerda fan and of course, and we will be giving someone the clap. I may have hit the wrong button late in the episode, sorry, not sorry.

Episode 1 - My Favourite Things - contributors across the Earth!

We're talking the boardgames I played this week as well as starting the series of 'my favourite things'. This week I'm talking about my favourite contributors globally, focusing on three contributors from three continents. If you're still here, congrats, it will either get better from here, or a whole lot worse, but as we're all gamers, roll the dice!

Introduction to OMC - meet the 'one man' and get yourself the clap....

Here's our teaser introduction to One Man Clapping, meet the eponymous one man and the wider circle, including HAL, who will be co-hosting the show. First episodes will drop in quick succession, subscribe so you don't miss out on my sultry voice, piping board game drivel directly into your earholes.

Bonus Episode 3 - 2024 Unwrapped

In our last episode recorded in 2024 Super Trooper and I unpick our top 10 most played for the year, not our top ten games, but those that were on the table the very most! As usual, we wrap that up with a few more special treats for dessert, as this season is all about as much as you can fit in as possible, and we cover off our top 'new to us', and then we of course finish with our pick for best release of 2024. Happy new year clappers!

Life's Hard Choices - 10 rounds of this or that

This bonus episode featuring the inimitable Super Trooper has us choosing between this or that! 10 rounds of life's hard choices, and I hope you like freaking cicadas, because it's Starship Troopers right now, down under. And for dessert we go three rounds of non-board game related choices, so you're going to get to know a little more about two board game legends. Yes, legends. Love ya!

Bonus Episode - Token Aspirations for 2025, the games that absolutely MUST be played

This week on OMC we're joined by a very special guest and friend of the show, and we're discussing the games that absolutely must be played in 2025. Are they on our 'shelf of firsts'? Classics we want to play again? Incoming crowdfunding games? Yes, yes they are. Then we drop a little dessert with 'The Fat Man Cometh'.... Game on.

Episode 54 - Knights of the Round Table

This week I'm joined by members of the wider OMC crew! Super Trooper, Project L, and the Cracker join me for a round table discussion on a number of weird questions... We missed a number of attributions, apologies to all the game designers and developers, we were just having too much fun. This week's episode notes can be found here. https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/new?assocItemType=guilds&assocItemId=4426 Special thanks to our colleagues at SVWAG for the inspiration... I'm on holidays this week, so a second episode will be out later this week. Have a great week OMC crew, talk to you soon. -Hamez
