OOPS: Kyudo - Japanese Ceremonial Archery
Episode notes
Welcome to the Offbeat Olympics Podcast Show: Your Unathletic Guide to Obscure Pastimes!
In this episode Josh visits Georgia Kyudo Renmei to learn about Japanese Ceremonial Archery and to get traumatized by memories of his unathletic past. A special guest joins Josh and Caleb in their discussion this time around, their brother Reuben, freshly sprung from a Hungarian prison. The extensive history of Samurai and Yabusame are discussed as well as the intersection between the practice of Kyudo, meditation, and Zen Buddhism.
