First Corinthians: Matters of First Importance (Wk 7)|1 Cor. 4:14 - 5| Emanuel Istrate | Oct. 4

This Sunday, we will be resuming our study of the second half of 1 Corinthians 4 and chapter 5. In these verses, the Apostle Paul lays out the need for church discipline as he addresses the dark and depraved sins that were taking place in the Corinthian church.

First Corinthians: Matters of First Importance (Wk 6)|1 Cor. 4 | Emanuel Istrate | September 27

Pastor Emanuel will continue walking us through our series through 1 Corinthians. The sermon passage this Sunday will be 1 Corinthians 4 and we invite you to read ahead in preparation for Sunday’s message.

First Corinthians: Matters of First Importance (Wk 5)|1 Cor. 3 | Emanuel Istrate | September 20

This Sunday we will continue our series in 1 Corinthians, diving into chapter 3. The Apostle Paul uses three pictures—field, building, and temple—to speak directly to a church struggling with division. First, Paul points out that we are God’s field. Some of us plant while others water through teaching, serving, and encouraging, yet only the Lord causes real growth among us. Second, we are His building. Christ alone is our foundation, so every act of service must rest on Him. And finally, we are His temple where the Holy Spirit dwells; therefore, how we treat one another matters deeply.

First Corinthians: Matters of First Importance (Wk 4)|1 Cor. 2 | Emanuel Istrate | September 13

Join us this Sunday as we continue our series through 1 Corinthians. Pastor Emanuel will be walking us through 1 Corinthians 2 as we look at the power and wisdom of God at work!

First Corinthians: Matters of First Importance (Wk 3)|1 Cor. 1:17 - 31| Justin Kailer | September 6

Join us this Sunday as we continue our study in 1 Corinthians 1:17-31, where Paul exposes the worldly thinking behind the divisions the Corinthians are experiencing in the church. He contrasts it with the wisdom of God, which seems like foolishness to the world, but to us who believe, is the power of God.

First Corinthians: Matters of First Importance (Wk 2)|1 Cor. 1:10–17| Emanuel Istrate | August 30

This sermon on Christian unity and division in the church explores Paul’s appeal in 1 Corinthians 1:10–17 for believers to be united in Christ. In the series First Corinthians: Matters of First Importance, we consider why the Corinthian church’s divisions mattered—and how the gospel calls God’s people away from personality-centered loyalties and toward faithful unity in Jesus. Paul urges the church to agree in what is essential, to resist quarrels and factions, and to remember that Christ alone—not a pastor, leader, preference, or group—is at the center of the church. This message is for Christians seeking to understand biblical unity, churches navigating disagreement, and anyone wanting to see how the cross shapes our relationships with one another. Listen, reflect, and join us as we seek to follow Christ together. Subscribe for weekly biblical teaching, visit Oxford Bible Fellowship online, and join us for worship on Sunday in Oxford, Ohio.

First Corinthians: Matters of First Importance (Wk 1) | 1 Cor. 1:1-9 | Emanuel Istrate | August 23

This Sunday, we will be starting our new sermon series in the book of 1 Corinthians. The title of our series is “Matters of First Importance.” Throughout our study, we will be brought back to the Gospel. Every chapter will encourage, challenge, and point us to Christ. As we prepare for Sunday, I encourage you to read 1 Corinthians 1:1–9 and allow the truths of verses 8–9 to soak in.

Epistles of John: 3 John - Imitating the Good. (Wk 13)| 3 John | Emanuel Istrate | August 16

This Sunday, we will be concluding our summer series through the Apostle John’s three letters to the churches and believers in Asia Minor. In 3 John, the Apostle writes to his dear friend and fellow elder, Gaius, urging him to continue to walk in the truth. John calls Gaius—and us today—to steadfastness in the face of opposition.

Epistles of John: 2 John - Abiding in the Truth (Wk 12)| 2 John | Chris Light | August 9

This Sunday, we have the pleasure of hearing Chris Light preach through 2 John. In this next letter, John encourages believers to abide in Him and continue in the truths preached from the beginning. We must obey God and love others.

Epistles of John: 1 John - Walking in the Light (Wk 11)| 1 John 5:6-21 | Emanuel Istrate | August 2

This Sunday we will conclude 1 John as Pastor Emanuel walks us through 1 John 5:6-21.
