Episode notes
Joni de Winter and Susan Grant are back and this week they have a very special guest Actor/Musician Geri Allen. Geri is currently starring in 2024 Oliver Award Winner for Best New Musical 'Operation Mincemeat'. In amongst Geri's brilliant stories about the industry we discuss how Geri made her West End Debut in her 40's whilst navigating being a new mum.
We talk about how we can be made to feel that it's too late to 'make it', as well as her career highs and lows so far, creative processes and why we make trauma funny.
This episode is filled with hilarity and sound advice and is a 'must listen' for anyone who feels disappointed with where they find themselves in their career or hasn't even started yet. Let Geri's story inspire and motivate you to move forward with true 'gumption'!
