Give a B-movie a $175 million (inflation-adjusted) budget and the result is this flick by Joe Johnston, the man behind the 1991 cult classic THE ROCKETEER and 1995 smash hit JUMANJI who would later go on to remake THE ROCKETEER as CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER in 2011. BEN?!? ERIC?!?

Sam Neill gave up a role in Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy to return as the raptor-loving Alan Grant here, a decision that certainly makes him a first-ballot qualifier in the “Worst Hollywood Career Choices Hall of Fame.” William H. Macy’s here to save his kid with his ex-wife Téa Leoni, who’s just here to scream.
