Episode notes
In this episode of the Beyond Sunday podcast, Pastor Robby and Pastor James take a general look at the Holy Spirit and discuss who he is and what he does. They explain that the Holy Spirit is a person and fully God, and that his role is to point people to Jesus rather than to himself. The conversation also covers a brief history of Holy Spirit theology and contrasts the Spirit’s work in the Old Testament and the New Testament. They then talk about how believers receive the Spirit after Jesus’ resurrection, including indwelling, sealing, spiritual gifts, discernment, prayer, repentance, and daily renewal.
