Charles Ogden of the 17th Illinois, recounts the Battle of Shiloh in this April 11th account, published in a South Jersey paper on April 24th 1862.

This account has not been available to the public since it was first published 160 years ago, and this existing copy resides in the collection of The Lawrence Township Historical Society.
