Allen and Joey are back, “micro-dosing” you with another dose of pure nonsense as they wrap up October and look ahead to what’s coming next on the show. This week is a hangout episode in the best way: no taste test yet—just stories, memories, and a whole lot of tangents. Allen teases an upcoming Universal Yums-style snack series (including a mystery box from Denmark and the long-promised special Doritos from Isaac), then the conversation drifts into Halloween season, haunted houses, and old-school meet-and-greets with their buddy Big Fat. From there, the guys take a nostalgic road trip back to Lafette/Lafayette, Kentucky, talking about their childhood crew, DJ days at the roller dome, and the real history of Marquis de Lafayette and how half of America ended up named after him. Naturally, it doesn’t stop there. Robert Penn Warren - "Night Rider" and The Black Patch Tobacco War
On our February podcast we visit the Robert Penn Warren Birthplace Museum to discuss his book "Night Rider". His book talks about the Black Patch War and the Association that was started in Robertson County TN. We record from Guthrie, Kentucky where the first meeting took place as the farmers of the dark fired tobacco rebelled against the big corporation ran by James Buchanan Duke. While in the birthplace of Warren, we talk with Mrs. Bobbie Doris on the younger years of Warren. We will be at the Historic Museum of Hopkinsville - Christian County to meet with Alissa Keller, the Director, in front of the Night Rider's display. She will talk about the rise of the Association and how some of the group gained the name Night Rider's. Come joining us for this journey.
