Breshell West on being Miss Utah an influencer and building resilience

Breshell West and her husband Connor and their families are part of our Frisco First family. Breshell sits down with us and talks about growing up in an abusive home, building resilience, becoming Miss Utah and meeting Connor. She shares how she feels God was with her through it all, and how forgiveness has healed her heart and allows her to move forward free of bitterness. Breshell's story is full of of ups and downs, and her sense of humor and ability to find joy in the hard moments will touch your heart.

Talking the Birds and the Bees with our Kids - a seminar for parents

Minister to Preschoolers, Kay Barker, joins the Noisy Narratives pod to discuss the upcoming parent seminar with Megan Michelson from Birds and Bees. Kay provides some helpful advice for parents, and points to resources if you are trying to figure out how to have these conversations with your children. Megan is coming to Frisco First on Tuesday, November 12th from 6:30 to 8:30pm. She will offer simple tools for parents, as well as proven strategies for how to have conversations with our kids surrounding body image, puberty, sex and more. We are kicking off season 5 of Noisy Narratives a little later than usual because Debbie was on sabbatical for the month of September, but we are excited to be back! Christy, Debbie and Laura do a deep dive into the emotional college-drop off, and Debbie talks about trips to Utah and California. We already have lots of guests lined up for this season and we can't wait to share them with you - see you on the pod!
