Getting Tipsy with... Jimmy Kimmel, Josh Hartnett, and The Summer I Turned Pretty Finale
Episode notes
On this episode, we discuss the death of freedom of speech and Trump celebrating Jimmy Kimmel’s show being shut down indefinitely. Which then leads over to a chilling new bill that could block U.S. citizens from getting or renewing a passport if they participate in negative political speech, and Trump’s “can’t be mean to me” proclamation.
In other news, JD Vance fills in for Charlie Kirk on his podcast, and October 14th is being pushed as “Charlie Kirk Day” — which also happens to fall on George Floyd’s birthday.
And of course, we chat about all of things we watched this week: Platonic, The Summer I Turned Pretty finale, The Girlfriend, Trap, Gone Girl, Nobody Wants This, Before We Go, Friendship, A Family Affair, and a nostalgic rewatch of Whatever It Takes (which opens the floodgate of all of those early 2000's gems).
