Getting Tipsy with... Taylor Swift, Gavin Newsom, and Star Wars
Episode notes
On this non-alc episode, we discuss Gavin Newsom being a badass with his threat to DJT (and now he's out for blood), Oakland's Mayor Barbara Lee and Trump's thread to send the National Guard to Oakland, and the laughable announcement that RFK Jr. wants to run against JD Vance in the 2028 election.
We also take a moment to talk about a few hilarious stories from our youth of nudist colonies and waking up on Bart after Lovefest (oh, to be young again).
We question whether or not we'd be down to microchip our hand so we can stop lugging keys and wallets around, how AI is successfully designing antibiotics and a shoutout to two amazing young women who did some pretty phenomenal things!
We obviously had to chat about Taylor Swift being on the New Heights podcast (clips were everywhere) and Danielle happily sacrificed the 2 hours to watch the ep and has lots to share.
Lastly, we discuss all of the things we watched: Something Borrowed, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Platonic Season 2, Summer I Turned Pretty, McBee Dynasty, Surface Season 2, Alias Grace, Gilded Age Finale, and Dami's continued attempt to get through The Hunting Wives.
Grab a drink (or non-alc beverage), sit back, and hang with us!
