Today’s reading brings us back to Ephesians 6:10–20, where Paul shows us what prayer looks like on the battlefield. Once the armor is on, we do not simply stand around—we pray. Paul’s pattern is clear: pray, watch, intercede, and speak. Prayer is not our last resort when everything else fails; prayer is the declaration that everything fails without God. Ephesians 6 reminds us that prayer should saturate the entire battle—at all times, with all prayer, with all perseverance, for all the saints. We stay alert because battles are often lost through gradual drift, and we intercede because our brothers and sisters need us standing with them. So today, read Ephesians 6:10–20 and refuse to abandon the altar because the answer is taking a while. Pray, watch, persevere, intercede, and when God gives you the opportunity—speak the gospel boldly.
