Today’s reading begins a new journey in 1 John 1, where John calls the church back to the real Christ. Jesus is not merely a good teacher, a spiritual idea, or a distant divine figure—He is fully God and fully man, the eternal Word of life who was heard, seen, and touched. John writes so the church will not be deceived by false teachers, but will know the truth and enter real fellowship with the Father and the Son.
1 John 1 reminds us that God is light, and there is no darkness in Him at all. The life we live must match the faith we claim, not because we never stumble, but because true fellowship with Christ changes the direction of our walk. So today, read 1 John 1 and ask the Lord to bring you into the light: encounter the real Christ, acknowledge your sin, confess it freely, and trust the God who is faithful and just to forgive.
