Technology ; an enabler in changing the fabric of Architecture

Technology ; An enabler in changing the fabric of ArchitectureTechnology and design have always been at a precarious crossroads. If you observe closely, with ever increasing need of Architectural and Design Evolutions, the introduction of Technology was inevitable. Marking it’s footprint with Industrial Revolution, Technology is here to stay and is been growing its roots deeper ever since, nurturing a tree with humungous foliage for Architectural Innovations. Witnessing the current era, there has been a massive shift in which we perceive the union of Technology and Design. With Web3.0 and Metaverse knocking firmly on the doors of reality, let us deep dive into Architectural Aspects of Technology and how it has been an enabler in the changing fabric of Architectural Landscape.

Nature of Technology in Design

Nature of Technology in Design :In today's world, technology plays a critical role in design. Designers use various tools and software to create visual representations of their ideas, and technological advancements have revolutionized the design industry. The nature of technology in design is such that it allows for greater efficiency, flexibility, and creativity in the design process.Additionally, technology has enabled designers to work remotely and collaborate with others around the world. Cloud-based software and project management tools have made it possible for designers to work together seamlessly, regardless of their location. As technology continues to evolve, we can expect to see even more innovation in the design industry.

Technology as a tool for Design - Ar. Jwalant Mahadevwala

Technology : An enabler in changing the fabric of Architecture. Technology and design have always been at a precarious crossroads. Mr. Jwalant Mahadevwala from 'andblack Design Studio', is an architect and designer. The philosophy of 'andblack Design Studio' lies in designing the process that leads to the ‘solution’. They believe that the design process should be robust enough to inform all stages of design, from concept to detailing while constantly challenge themselves to rethink these processes to suit the project and has in its core to achieve energy efficiency that deploys intelligent systems and makes use of natural materials smartly.
