More the specific texture of the aftermath of large things: the return to ordinary scale, the city re-emerging around you as you come down off the peak, the flat resuming its modest two-person proportions after days of being one cell in an enormous organism of family. A wedding gathers a hundred lives into a single roaring point and holds them there for three days, and then it lets them go, and they scatter back to their hundred ordinary orbits, and the scattering leaves a hush.
