What kinda party are you looking for??? Well, we've got a Murder Party (2007) for you! Written and Directed by Jeremy Saulnier, and Produced by a collective of childhood friends known as the Lab of Madness.
We got a chance to catch up with Andrew (@trash_memoirs on Instagram). He suggested we watch this messy, drippy, classic... so we asked that he join us... and we are sure glad he did. Street Trash (1987). Directed by J. Michael Muro, as well as co-written with Roy Frumkes.
Just when you thought you've seen it all. We have All Jacked Up and Full of Worms (2022) a wild psychedelic journey of the decent into the darkness only worms can provide. This gem directed and written by Alex Phillips. Original music written and performed by Cue Shop
Join us for this romp on the London train lines, as we get stuck on the tracks with this 2015 English gem, Howl. Directed by Paul Hyett, written by Mark Huckerby and Nick Ostler., and music by Paul Edward-Francis. Do you think you have what it takes to make it till morning with us? We also pay special tribute to Shelley Duvall (7/7/1949-7/11/2024) star of The Shining and Popeye (sang on the original soundtrack "He Needs Me"), among other stand out roles... like The 4th Floor, which we also discuss in the show.
We dust off an oldie, and often forgotten .... 1987's Slaughterhouse Rock. Directed by Dimitri Logothetis, featuring new wave queen Toni Basil ("Hey Mickey"), and a soundtrack from the one and only Devo! Wait till you see, as we try and follow this wild chase through Alcatraz by a cannibal demon. It'll take Team America (2004) to save us!
Join us for this fun direct to video release, 1993's Ticks, starring Seth Green and Alfonso Ribeiro, Directed by Tony Randel. With a special appearance of the Bosom Buddies theme song provided by Billy Joel's 'My Life'.
In honor of Roger Corman's recent passing, we decided not to do a movie he directed... instead we opted for one he was the Executive Procedure of... 1980's classic, Humanoids from the Deep. Directed by Barbara Peeters and Jimmy T. Murakami, with an original score by James Horner.
Join us as we take a 'craic' at this creature thriller out of Ireland, Grabbers (2012). Directed by Jon Wright, with a score by Christian Henson.
Check out Mr. Ree's first walk through with the veteran Mathias the Ill, as we attempt to take on the 1988 classic Night of the Demons, Directed by Kevin Tenney. Buckle up, this is gonna be a bumpy ride.
This week we have the HONOR of sitting down with legendary special effects artist Joe Castro. We talk about Joe's 42 years in the industry, where and how he got his start, shit he's had to deal with, and what keeps him going. Joe's worked with them all and is a master of his craft. Make sure to check him out on instagram: @joe_castro_director Also, huge fucking shoutout to Dirty Freaken Joe for originally introducing us to Joe.
