That gray ceiling overhead? It's about to open up. A Pacific trough is dragging rain and snow across Montana right now. And western areas are already getting hammered.
In the next 24 hours. Western Montana takes the brunt this morning. Rain and snow mixing through 6 A.M., then easing off. You'll hit 46 degrees today before dropping back to 30 tonight with lingering showers. Friday brings relief — partly sunny and 45.
Central Montana gets the same messy mix. Rain and snow all day with winds gusting to 18 miles an hour. High of 45, low of 28 tonight. Snow tapers Friday as you climb to 48.
